Thai Massage in Auckland

Traditional Thai Massage has some similarities to Japanese Shiatsu in that both are performed with the recipient fully clothed on a padded mat on the floor.
The practitioner of Thai yoga bodywork applies gentle joint mobilizations, rhythmic rocking, stretching and pressure point treatment to induce a deeply soothing effect on the client. Like Acupressure, a Traditional Thai treatment addresses the meridians- the energy lines that correspond to organ systems as mapped out and regulated in acupuncture.
As obstructions to these organ systems are cleared, vitality and mobility in the body is increased, stress is reduced and a fertile ground for health is created. In contemporary society most people are severely compromised in their ability to move creatively in their bodies so it is highly transformative to have someone mobilize your joints for you while you relax and surrender!
The body is designed to move and loves to relax as joints are bathed in synovial fluid, cerebrospinal fluid flows and blood is free to circulate beyond the limited patterns of what they are used to. A person leaving a treatment feels clear of chronic stress patterns and the mind is more spacious to accomplish what needs to get done in a relaxed and easeful way!
